Robert McNaughton Civil War diary, 1862-1863.

A diary kept by Robert McNaughton of Glastonbury, Connecticut, while serving with the Twenty-fifth Connecticut infantry, Company G. Also includes letters sent to McNaughton. McNaughton enlisted 8 September 1862 and was mustered-in on 11 November 1862. He was mustered-out of his nine-months unit on 26 August 1863. He requested that if he lost his life in battle, or anyone found the diary, to return it to his wife, Charlotte McNaughton.
